A high-level clinical training program at a dedicated shoulder surgery center in France. From 3 months to 1 year, operating alongside 4 senior surgeons in a high-volume center.
The fellowship at CHP Saint-Grégoire is a full clinical immersion. Fellows participate actively in surgical procedures under the direct supervision of senior surgeons. The high surgical volume allows for rapid progression and exposure to a wide spectrum of shoulder pathologies.
The program is tailored to each fellow's background and objectives, whether the focus is on arthroscopy, shoulder arthroplasty, instability or trauma.
Rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilization (Latarjet, DAS), calcification removal, pectoralis minor release. Over 600 procedures per year.
Anatomic and reverse total shoulder replacement, including the Subscap Sparing technique. 200+ replacements per year, with exposure to revision surgery.
Management of recurrent shoulder instability. Open and arthroscopic Latarjet procedure, Dynamic Anterior Stabilization (DAS) — first cases in the region performed here.
Clavicle fractures, proximal humerus fractures and glenoid fractures. Surgical and conservative management based on indications.
We do everything possible to facilitate fellows' integration, particularly for those coming from abroad.
Rennes is a dynamic city of 300,000 inhabitants in Brittany, north-western France, 1h25 from Paris by high-speed train. It is a major university city with a thriving cultural and medical scene.
CHP Saint-Grégoire is located 10 minutes from Rennes city center, easily accessible by car and public transport. The shoulder surgery unit works closely with the specialist physiotherapists of the ILO (Institut Locomoteur de l'Ouest), based on the same site.
